My Past Your
Present was an idea that sadly came about due to the loss of
my own father three years ago. One day I asked my youngest
son if he remembered all of Grandad's "Grandpa
Stories".
My father told
wonderful stories about his youth during the war and while
in the Navy. Sadly my son struggled to remember all the
stories and although I can retell them to him I cannot
capture the true spirit of my fathers childhood, his
feelings and expressions. I didn't want this to happen again
so I decided to film my mother, my husbands parents and
other older family members to keep their life memories alive
for future generations of our family.
Making the
films turned out to be wonderfully interesting and I now
have a family archive to keep and pass on to my sons and
Grandchildren. I therefore dedicate My Past Your Present to
my father Robert Scott Radford, a wonderful dad. |
